WWE Fastlane 2016 - Predictions

A couple of weeks ago, rumors suggested that WWE wanted Fastlane to be their next big Pay-Per-View. Taking a quick glance at the card, you can tell they're trying their best. Is it an award-winning card? Absolutely not. But considering the injury plague that is attacking the roster, I'm satisfied. Fastlane 2016 will bring some exciting, hard-to-predict matches, as well as a couple of bouts we've seen too many times. Remember: Tell me your predictions! If you beat me (doubt it) I'll follow you on Twitter and I'll mention your name/handle on my official review of the PPV. Anyways, here's who I see winning:

1. Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio (Two-out-of-three falls match for the U.S. Title)

When I heard this was going to be the kickoff match, I was disappointed. While these guys have great chemistry and they've put together some solid matches, we've seen them go at it to many times. And while I'm still not hyped for the contest (HE AIN'T HYPE), the two-out-of-three falls stipulation certainly switches things up. Kalisto must win the match. Easy as that. Retain the title, and move on to a new challenger. I just don't see why you would have Del Rio win, when you're trying to build Kalisto as the next big Latin star.

Prediction: Kalisto

2. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks vs. Naomi and Tamina

The Divas division seems to be at a good spot right now. Charlotte is a solid heel, Brie is getting babyface love, but most importantly, it seems like Sasha will have a title match at Mania. Charlotte vs. Sasha for the belt would be an amazing match. This bout doesn't seem to be too important. Sasha and Becky are going to look strong, defeating Naomi and Tamina.

Prediction: Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks

3. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Championship Match)

So... why is Dean Ambrose not getting his rematch? Rollins had two title fights at SummerSlam, so I feel like booking could have done the same with Dean. Still, not mad at this bout. We've seen it a lot, but at least it means something this time. I see Owens winning, and having an Intercontinental Championship match at Mania against somebody like Samy Zayn, AJ Styles or Chris Jericho.

Prediction: Kevin Owens

4. Charlotte vs. Brie Bella (Divas Title Match)

This one has pretty much been spoiled by the Internet Wrestling Community (not that it was an unpredictable match). Apparently, Brie Bella will be leaving WWE in the close future. After Fastlane or WrestleMania. Why? She wants to start a family with our favorite bearded man, Daniel Bryan. Therefore, I predict Charlotte defending her belt, and facing the BO$$ at the biggest stage of them all.

Prediction: Charlotte

5. AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

I still can't believe I'm saying this, but AJ Styles will have a singles match at a WWE PPV. Love it! After trading wins on RAW and Smackdown, Y2J and the Phenomenal will face off to determine who really is the best. Considering AJ is fresh talent, I see him getting the W and going on to confront Kevin Owens, the man who eliminated him from the Royal Rumble match.

Prediction: AJ Styles

6. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose (Winner Faces Triple H at Mania)

When this match was announced, I was instantly frustrated. I knew Lesnar was going to be eliminated from the triple-threat by the Wyatt family, and Ambrose was only there to eat the pin. While there's a chance that still might happen, I'm not positive. Meaning that WWE did an excellent job with Ambrose. I genuinely believe he could win the match. For the past couple of weeks, the show has been all about him, not Roman. Plus, he lost the IC title and teased a heel turn on RAW. I think he will turn on Roman Reigns and go on to fight Triple H at WrestleMania.

Prediction: Dean Ambrose
