2015 Best PS4 Games - Gameplay

2015 is almost over, and it has been a great year! It was a superb year for PlayStation owners. So many remarkable games came out.. In the following weeks, we'll be looking back at some of the best games that came out this year, and giving them awards on different categories (Gameplay, multiplayer, story, etc.) This week, we went back and asked ourselves: what 2015 PS4 game had the best gameplay? In this case, we looked for a game that was original, addicting and most importantly, fun. Sometimes people seem to forget it: games are supposed to be fun. And while I played some extremely fun games this year (Bloodborne, Black Ops 3, Undertale), this one was a piece of cake. Metal Gear Solid had the best gameplay I've seen in a long, long time.

I could spend hours talking about why Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is such a good game. It's beautiful and deep, but let's get to the point. Gameplay wise, this is the best game I've played on my PlayStation 4. It's just too good. There's something about the way this game interacts with the player, that's unlike any other game out there. Whatever it is, it works. This game is addictive. Even if I wasn't feeling it for the first couple of hours, it clicked. After that, I didn't want to play any other video game.

I also feel like this game should be called "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker 2". Because it feels like Peace Walker's big brother. The same concepts, ideas and elements, but on a bigger scale (and with prettier graphics). And just like PW, The Phantom Pain has a massive amount of content. There's missions to do (50 main story mission, 157 side ops), prisoners to save, weapons to destroy, outposts to capture, animals to rescue and more. You must do all of this while taking care of your mother base and providing them with facilities, tools and support. The way the game links all these modes is unheard of. It's all fun, and it's all important. So important, that it started ruining my real life. I found myself ignoring friends and family because I was thinking about the upgrades my horse needed. No game has ever made me feel like the whole thing is real, and I will forever love this game for that. But then again, you could ignore all the extra stuff and focus only on the missions. That's great game design.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is everything it promised to be... and more. This is a gameplay masterpiece. I truly can't believe how good this game is. It grabs you, and it doesn't let you go. I'd go as far as to say that this is Kojima's finest work. It is also Playstation 4's best game. Excited to see what Kojima decides to do. Anyways, go enjoy this gem. You deserve it.
