Activision Strikes Again: DO NOT BUY THPS 5!

Activision has done it again. They've released a half assed, broken game just so they can make some money. This time, Tony Hawk is getting the treatment. Full of glitches and bugs, this game simply doesn't work. Except this time, we actually know why an Activision game is being rushed out the window.

A Reddit user (Jay_Nullbuilt) created a threat that pointed out an Activision PR statement made back in 2002:

"Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that the company has extended its successful partnership with world-renowned skateboarder Tony Hawk through an exclusive multi-year video game licensing agreement that expires in 2015."

To me, this is a clear indication that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was clearly not ready to be released. Yet Activision decided to put out a broken game just so they could capitalize on Hawk's brand one final time before said contract expired. Truth be told, Activion should be ashamed. People (including myself) loved these games. And now, thanks to this publisher's "Profit over Player" mentality, the series' final entry has left a bad taste in all of our mouths.

Don't believe ths game is a glitchy mess? Watch this:

  1. It's been working fine for me. I don't know what to tell ya.

    1. Glad it's working for you! But for a lot of people, it's completely broken
