WWE SummerSlam 2015 Review/Results

Was really excited for this PPV. Card looked super strong, and the atmosphere was great. Well, it was a good PPV for the most part. Some amazing matches, some okay ones, and a couple of really controversial finishes. With that being said, let's go:

1. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton

Good match. I mean, there was no way this match could have been great. We've seen it too many times by now. They should have put the MITB briefcase on the line. That would have gotten me interested. The match itself was fine. No crazy spots, Just some good wrestling and a couple of fancy moves,

2. PrimeTime Players vs. New Day vs. Lucha Dragons vs. Los Matadores (Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Championships Match)

Great Match! Big spots, unexpected and entertaining. This match was so much fun. I love New Day! Xavior works great as a manager, and Big E and Kofi are so damn funny. Everyone did a great job, even if Sin Cara botched the 2 moves he was involved in. Super entertaining match!

3. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev

Good match. It was entertaining and all. But again, we've seen this before. On top of that, it ended in a no contest, meaning that it'll probably drag for another month. Good match, should have ended the feud in this match.

4. Stephen Amell & Neville vs. Stardust & King Barrett (Tag Team Match)

This match was okay, but I was surprised by Amell's performance! He took bumps, did moves and looked like a star. Neville also did some surprising moves. And again, Stardust deserves a better position within the company, Amazing character.

5. The Miz vs. Ryback vs. The Big Show

This match was hilarious. I didn't expect much from it, but it was booked perfectly: as a fun match. Finishers all over the place, near pinfalls and action. I actually thought Miz was going to win for a second. Still, Ryback ended up picking the victory. Entertaining match, even if it wasn't the greatest wrestling match.

6. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose

First off, let's talk about WWE ruining what could have been the next big streak. Bray Wyatt was already 2-0 at SummerSlam. he could have been 10-0 by 2023. Disappointing to see WWE not thinking about the future. Back to the match, it was pretty entertaining. Big moves. Wrestling wise it was great, but the fact that Wyatt's streak is already over hurts. Also, I expected a heel turn (didn't happen).

7. Seth Rollins vs. John Cena (Champion vs. Champion Match)

I'm so happy for Rollins! Wyatt got screwed, but Rollins beat Cena!!! It might have not been in a clean way, but still! Now why did John Stewart help Rollins? At first I was upset that Ric Flair wasn't the one that attacked Cena, but it makes sense if you think about it. It probably means that Stewart will have a bigger part in the future. Raw's new general manager? Who knows. Still, fantastic match! Great wrestling, spots, action and controversy. Finish could have been a bit better, but it still was amazing!

8. Team Bella vs. PCB vs. Team B.A.D. (Elimination Match)

Ladies got a long match. It may have been too long. Now don't get me wrong: I love the Divas! And this match had its moments. But it also suffered from big pacing issues. Team B.A.D. left too early. And Paige just took a beating for 10 minutes. Glad the Divas got good time, it could have been handled better.

9. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens

This was a great match. It suffered from going before Lesnar vs. Taker and not having an interesting storyline, but it was a great wrestling match. Both Cesaro and Owens killed it, with awesome moves and bumps. Owens ended up taking the W, but I'm okay with this.

10. The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

What the hell happened? Lesnar's applying the Kimura when the bell rings out of nowhere. Everyone's confused and when the ref is not looking, Taker goes for another low blow (THIS MAN LOVES LOW BLOWS). Taker gets the gates of hell again, Lesnar flips Taker and passes out. So much to unpack: Taker tapped. You can see it in the replay. Also, why did Lesnar flip Taker? Was it planned or was Lesnar mad about losing? Still, such a controversial match. You gotta love it.

Verdict: Really liked this PPV. Action packed, fun, and controversial. Not every match was amazing but the best matches were insane. Can't wait for Raw tomorrow! Also, nobody beat my predictions. Still the king.

Match of the PPV: Cena vs. Rollins

Score: 3.75/5
