WWE Money in the Bank 2015: Full Predictions

The sixth annual Money in the bank PPV will take place this Sunday, and it's time for my usual predictions. While I'm excited to see some of the matches, the show doesn't look too promising on paper. Still, hit me up on Twitter or the comments with your predictions, and if you manage to beat me (I doubt it) I'll be sure to give you a shoutout on my review of the PPV.

1. King Barrett vs. R-Truth (Singles Match)

The kickoff match will have the recently crowned King Barrett going at it with R-Truth. Barrett’s booking as the new king of the ring has been questionable at best, and he did lose a match against R-Truth a couple of weeks ago. However, I expect Barrett to get the win, as this is not a normal Raw but one of the biggest PPV’s of the year. This one could go either way, but I'm sticking with the king.

Prediction: King Barrett

2. The New Day vs. Primetime Players (Tag-Team Championships)

After Tyson Kidd’s injury, the Primetime Players have stepped up as the #1 contenders for the Tag-Team championships. This should be a fun match. I don't think it'll be as good as the New Day vs. Cesaro and Kidd matches, but it'll still be a blast. And while I really like the Primetime players, New Day are killing it as heels. I expect them to retain.

Prediction: The New Day

3. Ryback vs. The Big Show (Intercontinental Championship)

The big guy's first title defense will be against the bigger guy. This is acceptable as most of the other wrestlers in the title picture will be competing in the Money In the Bank match. To be honest, I don't expect a lot from this match. I just don't think their styles will match up well. At all. Adding up to this, WWE made a mistake by having Ryback Shell Shock Big Show before the PPV, it'll take away the excitement when he does it in the actual match. Still, Ryback just got the title and I expect him to keep it for a while.

Prediction: Ryback

4. Nikki Bella vs. Paige (Divas championship)

I've been disappointed with the last couple of matches in the Divas division. Whether if it's because of a lack of time or the lack of great wrestlers, I haven't seen a great Divas match for a while (excluding NXT. They're killing it over there). Still, we'll have two of the biggest talents in the division fighting for the Divas championship. While I love Paige (favorite wrestler in the main roster), WWE wants Nikki to retain at least until SummerSlam. Nikki should be coming out with the win and the title.

Prediction: Nikki Bella

5. Kevin Owens vs. John Cena (singles match)

These guys put the match of the night in the last PPV. It was a hard fought fight, one that ended with Owens going over. Now they'll be going at it again this Sunday, and they'll probably have another bout at SummerSlam. I'm not really sure about how this one’s going to go. It could end with Owens cheating and getting a second win. But I believe Cena will come out on top, for a final “Winner takes it all'' match.

Prediction: John Cena

6. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Neville vs. Kane (Money in the Bank ladder match)

The Money in the Bank match is the main attraction of the PPV. The winner usually gets a significant push, and they go on to become champions. What makes it special is the fact that you don't know who's going to win it, there's always 2-3 guys that you could see winning. Sadly, that's not the case here. Like I said on my article about RomanReigns turning heel, I fully expect Reigns to hold the briefcase by the end of the night. The issue is not really him winning. Reigns is probably the best choice amongst the other Money in the Bank competitors. Orton and Ziggler have already won it, Neville is still new to the roster (I fully expect him or Ambrose to win it next year), Kingston is only there to do some big spots, and I just don’t see Sheamus winning it (don’t ask about Kane). The problem is that we know Reigns is going to win. When you have a clear idea on who'll win, the match loses its magic. WWE made the same mistake at the Royal Rumble PPV. And I expect them to do it all over again.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

7. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE World Heavyweight champion)

The main event will be the end of the feud (for now) between Ambrose and Rollins. I'd love for this match to be a clean fight without interferences, but that's just not going to happen. This match will have a controversial finish , that's for sure. I expect Rollins to retain with an interference from either Reigns or Lesnar. Hopefully Reigns. It should still be a fun match to watch. Ambrose will get the gold eventually. But a Lesnar vs. Rollins match at SummerSlam is waiting to happen.

Prediction: Seth Rollins
