RAW REVIEW: Rollins breaking up with the authority and Rusev is an abuser!

Another week is done, and it's time for the weekly roundup. To be completely honest I missed Smackdown so I’ll be mostly talking about Raw.

Let's start with the good. The show opened with a Cena and Owens promo that was pretty good. I enjoy the chemistry they have. They complement each other. Owens gets elevated by fighting against the face of the company. And Cena gets big pops, because Owens is doing a great job as a heel. Eventually we got Owens vs. Neville for the NXT championship. This was easily the match of the night, and the only absolute must-see match of the night. I'm excited to see the Owens vs. Cena rematch, as it will probably be the best match for the second PPV in a row. Sadly, Cena will probably go over.

A big part of the show revolved around the inevitable break up between Rollins and The Authority, one that will probable end with a Rollins-HHH feud post SummerSlam. I thought WWE made a mistake by having Rollins win every title match with the help of The Authority. Some of them, okay. But every single one? It made Rollins look like a weak champion, and a weak competitor. Take the upcoming ladder match against Dean Ambrose as an example. While we should look at the match as two gladiators fighting for the gold, everyone’s seeing the match as Ambrose fighting a coward, inferior wrestler. And who knows, maybe that's what they were going for. I just think Rollins was poorly booked during his title run.

What else…? During the Ziggler vs Kane match, Rusev came out and accidentally hurt Lana’s ankle. Having Rusev hurt Lana without actually touching her was a great idea. once Rusev recovers from his injury, he should start an interesting feud with Ziggler over Lana’s love. Other than that, Reigns came out and deliver a promo about winning the Money in the Bank match (he should turn heel afterwards) and R-truth delivered one of the funniest segment I've seen in a long time. Great job.

Overall, it was a good Raw. Some awesome matches, with multiple boring segments (with the exception of R-Truth). I should be posting my official Money in the Bank on Thursday, so stay tuned for that.
